The Kings Mountain Herald October 15, 2008 FLORA LEDFORD KINGS MOUNTAIN - Flora Herndon Ledford, 88, of Barrett Road, died September 30, 2008 at Hospice of Cleveland County. She was born in Cleveland County. She and her husband were owners of Kings Mountain Farm Center. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and was church historian. She was past member of Broad River Genealogical Society, past member of Old Tryon Genealogical Society, and a past member of DAR. She loved local history, family genealogy, cooking, making jams and jellies, needlework, quilting, but most of all spend- ing time with family. = She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Ledford; par- ents, Theodore and Minnie Randall Herndon; son, Mike Ledford; - sister, Geraldine Blackwood; and brother, David Herndon. She is survived by daughter, Margaret Ledford of Kings Mountain; brother, Charles Herndon and wife Pat of Kings Mountain; sisters, Mary Sue Etters of Kings Mountain and Betty Lynn and husband Percy of Kings Mountain; nieces and nephews, Norma McMurray and husband Dale, Brent Herndon and wife Kristie, Kim Hawk and husband Thomas, Lori Herndon and Ginger Hall; great nieces and nephews, Heather McMurray, Kyle and Garrett Herndon. In addition to her parents, she was also pre- ceded in death by her husband, W.H. Christopher, Jr. and a son, Kenneth Woodrow Christopher. She was retired from Celanese in Earl and was a lifelong mem- ber of Pleasant Hill Baptist + Church, Grover.
