SG ir Shi NCR ar Kelly Nicole Faulkner and William Hart Wells, Wells-Faulkner to wed July 11 Steve and Betsy Wells of the Dixon Community in Kings Mountain are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their son William Hart Wells to Kelly Nicole Faulkner of Lenoir. The wedding will be an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, July 11th at 4 p.m. in Lenoir on the lawn of The Broyhill House. The reception will follow the ceremony in the gar- dens of The Broyhill House. The future bride is the granddaughter of Becky Hall of Lenoir and is a graduate of South Caldwell High School. She took courses at Caldwell Community College while working in the Wrap-Around Program at Granite Falls El- ementary School. She will finish her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in August from ECPI College of Tech- nology Medical Careers Institute in Manassas, Va.. A classical guitarist in the Russo/Wells Duo in Lees- burg, Va., the future groom teaches high school guitar at Potomac Falls High School in Sterling, Va. A graduate of Kings Mountain High School, he was a NC Teaching Fel- lows recipient, studying music education at Appalachian State University under the direction of Dr. Douglas James, renown classical guitarist. After receiving his BS degree, he taught elementary music at Granite Falls Elementary School in Granite Falls before moving to Leesburg, Va., to teach high school gui- tar in the Loudoun County School system. He is the grand- son of the late Harold and Lucy Wells of the Dixon Community and the late Lester and Blannie Hart of Lans- The Kings Mountain Herald Ashley Lynn Huffstetler, Nathan Johnson wed Ashley Lynn Huffstetler and Nathan Johnson ex- changed wedding vows June 6, 2009 at Corinth Baptist Church in Vale. The Rev. William Kanupp officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony. A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at Woodmill Winery follow- ing the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Huff- stetler of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Brenda Huffstetler of Dallas and the late Frank Huffstetler, Cecil Bumgarner, also of Dallas, and the late Ruby Bumgar- ner. A graduate of North Gaston High School, she earned a degree in Nursing from Catawba Valley Com- munity College. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Thomas of Vale and Mr. and Mrs. Don Johnson of Kings Mountain. He is the grand- son of Pete and Shirley Johnson of Kings Moun- tain, Lena Thomas of Vale and the late Dolly Walton, Charles Thomas and David Herndon. A graduate of North Mecklenburg High School, he attended Gaston College and is employed by Gaston Fence. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bridegroom’s father was best man. Matron of honor was Emily Walters of Dallas. Maid of honor was Lori Huffstetler of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Katie Moore of Vale, Rebecca Cloninger of Mount Holly.
