New variety store open
By EMILY WEAVER
Editor
Amidst the new "internet
cafes", ‘offering faxes,
copies, web access and
games, that have popped up
, along Grover's Main Street
over the past few months is
a new kind of "general"
store.
K.C.'s Discount & Vari-
ety offers a regular smor-
gasbord of merchandise
from apparel to lawn equip-
ment.
The shop, which opened
in April, offers a consign-
ment corner and shelves
upon shelves of other mer-
chandise, including such
items as toys, bicycles and
luggage.
Cheryll Pressley, who
owns and operates the store
with her husband, said that
they also have some back-
to-school items on their
shelves. :
K.C.'s may soon also
carry bait and tackle.
"People that come in this
store are really surprised
with what we have," she
added.
