David Marshall King KINGS MOUNTAIN -_ = David Marshall King, 64, of land County on November 112 White Plains Dr., died Saturday, November 28; 2009 at Hospice at Wen- dover in Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Ellis i Maude Jollyp r— King. In | addition to his brother, James C. King and nephew, Eric King. An employee of Freight- liner of Gastonia, he was a Vietnam veteran of the US Marine Corps and received the National Defense Serv- ice Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with De- vice, Marksman Badge, Rifle, Good Conduct Medal, and the Purple Heart. He was a loving hus- band, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Amelia S. King of the home; daughters, Chris- tine King Brafford and hus- band, Joel, of Concord, and Lisa King Browning and husband, Justin of Kings Mountain; grandchildren: Alyssa, Alex and Jayden; brothers Tommy King and wife, Patricia, Joe King and wife Terri, and Bobby King, all of Kings Mountain; sis- ters, Janell Wood and hus- band, John, of Bessemer City, Barbara Wright and husband, Johnny, and Susan King, all of Kings Moun- tain; and seven nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Oak View Baptist Church. Rev. Carey Caldwell and Rey. Jamie Billings will of- ficiate. Britta Nielsen Tyson KINGS MOUNTAIN - Britta Nielsen Tyson, 57, of 344 Goforth Rd., passed away on Monday, Novem- ber 30, 2009 at The Robin Johnson House in Dallas. She was born August 9, 1952 in Grindsted, Den- mark, daughter of Elly Jensen Nielsen of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and the late Aage Kristian Nielsen.
