Harris FFuneral Home Gladys Hamrick KINGS MOUNTAIN- Gladys Scism Hamrick, 97, of 511 Oak Grove Rd., died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Hospice of Kings Moun- tain. She was born in Cleve- land County to John William and Sarah’ Louise Green Scism and was also preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Ben Cleophas Hamrick, son Kenneth Hamrick, grand- son Jason Dover, sisters Résavee Lovelace, Helen Lovelace, Thelma Allen; brothers, Grady Faye Scism, Elmer Scism, Mearl Scism, Earl Scism, Max Scism and Lawrence Scism. A faithful member of ‘Patterson Grove Baptist Church, she served as Chil- dren’s Sunday School teacher in the Primary De- partment for 45 years. She loved to visit the home- bound church members. She was a farmer ’s wife and homemaker who ' loved sewing and making quilts. Surviving are her son, William Hamrick and wife, Carolyn, of Cartersville, Ga.; daughters, Maxine H. Williams and husband, Johnny and Rachel H. Dover and husband, Paul, all of Kings Mountain; Sarah H. Weaver and hus- band, Reginald of Oxford; her daughter-in-law, Betty Hamrick of Morganton; her sister, Marjorie Scism Neal of Kings Mountain; grand- children Christa. Williams, Charity Tolbert and hus- band, Jamie, Kim Spurr and husband, * David, Jeff Weaver Ashley Dover, Ben Hamrick and wife, Theresa and Elizabeth Gailand and husband, Brad; and great- grandchildren Emma and Evan Spurr and Ryley and Kasey Tolbert. .
