Blair Herndon III BLACKSBURG, SC - Blair Cooksey Herndon III, 56, of 123 Cooksey Dr., died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. i Born. in Cleveland County, he was married to Allyson Thomas Herndon and was the son of Martha Kennedy MacDonald of Vero Beach, FL and the late Horace Blair Herndon Jr. and step-son of John Mac- Donald of Vero Beach, FL. He was an associate of Ivey Electric in Spartanburg,SC. In addition to his wife, Allyson, his mother and stepfather, he is survived by one daughter, Ashley H. Greer and husband, Derrick of Blacksburg; one son, John Wesley Herndon of the home; one grandson, Ethan James Greer of Blacksburg, SC. and two step-sisters, Nancy MacDonald of Prov- idence, RI and Pat McDo- nough, E. Northport, NY. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 1-2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carpenter said that vehicles operated by Edwin Noles of Gastonia and Keith Sims of ~ 400 Wilson St were traveling west on the three lane portion of the US 74 Bypass and as both cars approached the KM business exit, an unknown ve- hicle in the left lane merged into the middle lane almost collided with the Noles vehi- "cle. Noles merged into the right lane to avoid the collision and the Sims car ran off the shoulder of the road to avoid the collision and through standing water and a ditch which caused the vehicle to roll over and then slide on its top until it came to a stop. The Sims car was’ damaged ap- proximately $10,000. MAY 19: Officer Mark Butler cited a 17-year-old driver with safe movement vi- olation after the 2004 Honda he was operating turned in front of a 1994 Buick operated by Nicole Washington, Grover, doing a total of $10,000 damage. After the col- lision the Honda struck a Duke Energy utility pole, stop sign and bushes on NC 216.
