Thompson and Michael C Youngblood, all of Grover, Shriners’ golf tourney The 8th annual Bruce Ward Memorial Golf Tour- nament, ‘sponsored by the White Plains Shrine Club, will be played June 12 at 1 p.m. at Woodbridge Golf Club in Kings Mountain. Entry fee is $65 per per- son or $260 for a four-person team. The price includes range balls, BBQ and hole- in-one contests. Mulligans, strings and skirts will be sold the day of the tournament. The tournament is a Cap- tain’s Choice format and be- gins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. First place in the champi- onship flight will be $500 and first place in the second and third flights will be $150. The prize money is based on a minimum of 20 teams in the field. If less than 20 teams participate, the prize will be less.
