A na- tive of Kings Moun- tain, he was the son of [# the late J ohnf§ Ervin a. nd Rosa Lee Short Anderson and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Al- bert Anderson, Claude An- derson, Kenneth Anderson and Johnny Anderson. He was self-employed, a loving husband, father and grandfather. We love you very much and you will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife, Betty Roberson Anderson of the home; daughters, Theresa A. Owensby and husband, Richard F., Ash- ley A. Curry and husband, Timothy, all of Kings Mountain, and Nikki A. He was born in Monroe, NC to the late Hoyt and Georgia Howie McGinnis and was husband to the late Bertie Lee Houser McGinnis and was also preceded in death by one brother and one , sister. « Mr. McGinnis served in the United States Navy dur- ing World War II. A former supervisor for Broward Co. Transit, Fort Lauderdale, . Fla, he was very active in the Patrick Center in Kings Mountain. Kelley Anne Adams Winn AUBURN, ALA-Kelley Anne Adams Winn, 51, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at The Bethany House in Auburn. Born in Greenville, NC, she was raised in Kings Mountain and was a gradu- ate of Gaston Day School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and a decorated member of the basketball and softball teams, then attended Auburn University where she was a member of Delta Gamma: Sorority: An employee of Ware Jewelers for 18 years, she was a certified gemologist and a member of the Ala- .bama Jewelers Association. In 1997 she was president of the AJA. She also received the 24 Karat Club Bob Fore- man Memorial Scholarship. After a brief time in Seneca, SC, working for Turners Jewelers, she returned to Auburn. Kelley loved people and cherished her two dachs- hunds, Gremlin and Blue. Surviving are her sister, Mary Adams Page of Fort Myers, FL; a brother, Charles H.
