Bell, 89, a resident of Shannon Gray Nursing Home in High Point and a former resident of Kings Mountain, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the nursing facility. Ms. Bell was the daugh- ter of Mack Daniel Camp and Hattie Emma Camp of . Kings Mountain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred, Robert, Paul, James and Mack R. Camp; and sisters, Martha Jane Camp and Fay C. Fortenberry. Surviving are a son, Johnny Larry Warren of the Piedmont Christian Center in High Point; two grand- daughters, Jennifer W. Teague and Laura W. Valen- tine; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Warren; and three great-grandchildren, all of High Point; and a sister, Trudy Camp Fredell of * Kings Mountain. The funeral will be con- ducted by the Rev. Dale Angel at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Westover Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. A visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. The in- terment will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain. ! He was born in Enoree, SC, to Endel Lee,Ramey and Ethel Stansell Ramey. He was the retired owner of Southern Textiles in Kings Mountain. He was a loving Christian husband, father and grandfa- ‘ther. Mr. Ramey embraced life. An avid golfer, he was an active member and past president of the Mt. Mitchell Golf Association and spent the majority of his time at his mountain home. He loved convertibles, hunting, fish- - ing and his Clemson Tigers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Shealy Ramey of the home; son, Burris - Endel Ramey, Jr. “Buddy” and wife Lisa of Kings Mountain; daughters, Melanie R. Former KM athlete Daniel Honeycutt, Jr. dies The sudden death Mon- day morning in Newton of Kings Mountain native Daniel Honeycutt, Jr., 37, came less than a month after another former Kings Mountain athletic standout, Calvin Stephens, died at 42. A 1990 graduate of Kings Mountain ‘High School, Honeycutt was a three sport star helping the Mountaineers to a state championship in baseball in 1989 and state runner-up finish in basketball. He is survived by his wife and 5-year-old daugh- ter, Maggie, his father, Dan Honeycutt, Sr. and wife, Pat; his mother, Betty Sue Privott and husband, Leon. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont. Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at First Church in Gastonia. She has taught Biol- ogy in high school, commu- nity college, college and university - settings, and is currently at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College where she hasbeen teaching for the last 21 years.
