Page 2A | OBITUA Casey Durham KINGS MOUNTAIN Sarah Casey Durham, 76, of 358 Edgemont Dr., died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Kings Mduntain Hospital. ~ Born in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late O.B. and Grace Turpin Casey and wife of 45 years to the late Dr. T. G. ’Blue” Durham. An active member as of Central United Methodist - Church, she was a Sunday school teacher, worked in the Community Kitchen, was a member of Circle Number 3, a member of Daughters of Wesley Sun- day School class and a re- cipient of the United Methodist Women’s Mis- sion Pin and was a public school teacher and a Master bridge player. Casey was a loving wife, mother, grand- mother and great-grand- mother. Surviving are her son, Garrison Casey Durham of McDonough, GA; daugh- ters, Julie Grace Durham and Pat Durham Potter and husband, Dan, all of Kings Mountain, and = Sarah “Sallee” Durham of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren: Meghan Potter Wood and husband Lane, Lesley Pot- ter Deaton and husband Tyler, Susan Julia Potter, Kaytlin “Katie” Cooke, C.. J. Cooke, Casey Renee Durham, and Thomas Gar- rison Durham II; and great- grandchild, Durham Alexander Wood. The family received friends Friday night, July 9, from 7-9 p.m. at Harris Fu- neral Home. The memorial service was held Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church by Rev. Rex Gibbs. Interment was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. She was born May 8, 1932 in Lawndale, a daughter of the late Howard Taft and Pear | Carpen- titer Saine. Mrs Leigh retired from A.B. Carter Co., after 25 plus years of service. She also worked at Groves Thread Company and AMP Inc. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, a devoted wife and a very kind, loving mother. Survivors of Mrs. Leigh include - her daughter, Donna Leigh Cline and hus- band Tommy of Belmont; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Evelyn Saine of Hickory, and Kenneth and Faye Saine of Lawndale; sisters and brother-in-law, Becky and Tom Neal of Shelby and Dorothy Saine of Hickory; grandchildren, Shannon Dacus of Atlanta, GA, Dana Leigh, and Tay- lor Leigh Cline, Thomas Landon Cline, both of Bel- mont; great-grandchildren, Chadwick Dacus, Matthew Dacus, and Adrianna Dacus, all of Atlanta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by het husband of 50 plus years, Clarence Donald Leigh, and by her son, Don- ald Wayne Leigh. The Kings Mountain Herald Eva May Lovelace KINGS MOUNTAIN- Eva Mae McNeely Lovelace, age 92, a resident of 105 Lovelace Rd, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain. She was a native of Cleveland County, the daughter of Doc and Sarah McNeely. McNeely, and wife of the late Barnette ° Glenn Lovelace. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Dewey Lovelace and ~ Bufford Lovelace; two grandsons, Dexter Lovelace and Tony Runyans; three sisters and seven brothers. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a strong, Godly woman, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by sons, Clifford Lovelace and wife Fay, and Gene Lovelace and wife Judith all of Kings . Mountain; daughter, Sarah Lovelace Runyans of Dal- las; brother, Earl McNeely and wife Edith of Carpen- ters Knob; sister-in-law, Pauline Lovelace of Kings Mountain; 12 grandchil-- dren, 22 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grand- children.
