Health ed students graduate Friday’s Place Health Education &.Train- ing hosted a graduation ceremony for stu-' « dents from its Phlebotomy Technician classes and the Pharmacy technician course at Christian Fellowship Assembly in Dallas recently with 200 people in attendance. The following students are now certified phlebotomy technicians through the Ameri- can Society of Phlebotomy technicians (ASPT): Andra Alexander, Elrica Brown, Ronda Canteen, Leslie Cobb, Wendy Cost- ner, Shuneka Elliott, Angela Ellison, Susie Jenkins, Sean Jones, Brady Cane, Sherri Ramsey, Jessica Revis, Robin Shely, Darlene Smith, Laquanda Smith; Kasie ;Thomas,- NURSES PINNED - Thirteen graduates of the the Cleveland Community College Practical Nu were pinned July 29 in ceremonies at the college.Shown front row, from left, Lena Dellinger, Jessica Nash, Terica Revels, and Tiffany Emery; second row, Brittney Morrow, Benita Run- yans, Deanna Pearson and Amy Watts; and back row, Terry Jamie Thornburg, Chelsea Williams, Anas- tasca Thompson, Tamika Pless, Kay Scott, and Jacquelyn Reymond. The students certified through the phar- macy, technician course are Jennie King, Jazmin McDanial, Rhonda Taylor, Poarcha Holland, Connie Falls, Patrick Moore, Chalie Sweet and Erica Testa. Friday’s Place Health Education & Train- ing was established to help individuals ob- tain a marketable skill in the health care field. The scholarship was awarded for study at the Uni- versity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, part of the state’s 16-campus University - of North Carolina system. Joshua Roberts, a recent graduate of KMHS, will begin studying Biological Sci- ences at Clemson University in the fall. Heather Sain, a graduate of West Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, will continue studying Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Asheville where she will be a sophomore in the fall. She is the daugh- ter of Robin and Margaret Sain and her fa- ther is employed by Baldor in Kings Moun- tain. Allen Strickland, a recent graduate of East Rutherford High School in Forest City, will begin studying Music at Gardner Webb Uni- versity in Boiling Springs in the fall. He is the son of Joey and Denise Strickland and his father is employed by Baldor in Kings . Mountain. Lauren Allen, a graduate of Crest High School in Shelby, will continue studying El- ementary Education at Appalachian State University in Boone where she will be a sen- ior in the fall. She is the daughter of Howard and Haley Allen and her father is employed by Baldor in Kings Mountain. Morgan Ledbetter, a recent graduate of Shelby High School will begin studying ed- ucation at Auburn University in Auburn, Al- abama in the fall. She is the daughter of Michael aiid Becky Ledbetter and her mother is employed by Baldor in Kings Mountain.
