Edie Lovell KINGS MOUNTAIN - Edith “Edie” Wilson Carson Lovell, 90, 1509 Shelby Rd., died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Alexandria Place, Gastonia. A native of Forsyth County, NC, she was the daughter of George Wash- ington and Pearl G. Powers Wilson and was widow of the late Vernon Oscar Carson and Ralph Lawrence Lovell. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, George Wilson, Carl Wilson and Woodrow Wilson and one sister, Irene Collins. A member of First Pres- byterian Church in Kings Mountain for 58 years, she was owner and operator of Edie’s Beauty Shop for 40 years and a Kings Mountain Hospital Auxiliary volunteer for 50 years. She was a lov- ing mother and grandmother who loved her church, cook- ing and flowers. Surviving are her son, Vernon F. Judging will begin 11:30 am. There will be two divisions, Adult and Junior. All school age children will be in‘the Junior Division, and anyone out of high school must enter-the Adult Division. Bridges charged for break-ins Aaron Jasper Bridges, 19, 301 Walker St., was arrested by Kings Mountain Police Sunday and charged in weekend break-ins of three Frito-Lay trucks and the snack food com- pany’s office, 564 Waco Road, and the break-in of All Good Pest Control, 518 N. Sims St. Bridges faces two counts of felony breaking and entering, three counts of felony breaking into vehicles and two counts of misdemeanor larceny. He was jailed under $50,000 se- | cured bond. KMPD Ptl. M.J. Howard said a Black & Decker cordless drill set, valued at $150, and a Dell computer valued at $500 were taken during the two business break-ins. The police re- port listed $200 in damages to vehicle window glass. Bridges was stopped by Officer B.C.
