Notice of Offer To Amend Lease
of Municipally Owned Real Property
The City of Kings Mountain, North-Carolina has received an offer to amend a
Lease, which is dated June 30,-1993, for a parcel of real estate which is located at the
address of 1013 North Piedmont Avenue, Kings Mountain, North Carolina, with Crown
The property which has been being leased has allowed for the communications tower
which is located on the property, all as more specifically delineated within the terms of
said agreement. That the tower located on the property is owned by Crown Atlantic Com- :
The offer to amend the Lease is to increase the rent from a sum of Five Hundred Fifty-
Four Dollors and 59/100 Dollars ($554.59) per month, to that of Two Thousand Dollars
($2,000.00) per month, for a period up through and including June 29, 2013. That be-
ginning on June 29, 2013, there shall be the right to exercise five (5) five-year options.
That the base rent beginning June 29, 20183, shall be Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.22),
but that for each year, subsequent to June 29, 2013 and with the Lease remaining in ef-
fect; there should be an annual increase up to three.(3%) percent.
The offer to amend the:Lease is for that Lease which covers an area of approximately
.28 acres, which is currently being leased by Crown Atlantic Company, LLC.
The City of Kings Mountain will receive upset bids from any person or entity, for a pe-
riod of ten!(10) days after publication of this Notice. All upset bids must raise the origi-
nal offer by not less than ten (10%) percent of the first One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00)
originally offered, and five (5%) percent of the remainder, and must include terms cov-
ering all of the requirements contained in the Amended Leasé referred to herein. .
