Reynolds to speak at Library Roger Reynolds, independent investor from Waxhaw, will conduct a free seminar on how to be successful in trading the stock market at Mauney Memorial Library Saturday at 10 a.m. The public is invited. Reynolds, 70, a broker for 28 years, retired in 1999 and has spent many hours researching and trading the market. “If a person wants to be good at something he has to prac- tice,” says Reynolds who took that advice from Malcolm Cantwell’s book, “The Outliers,” on the New York Times best seller list for over a year. The book documents that Bill Gates and Paul Allen, who founded Microsoft, had access to a computer in middle school classes and prechiced 10,000 hours before they were in ‘college. “I love the market and like to trade the stock market and I rack up more than 20 hours a week practicing and over 10,000 hours in the last 10 years,” says Reynolds who says he looks forward to being:in Kings Mountain. Safety and dementia meeting When is wandering a problem with dementia? Safety for people with dementia will be the topic for the next regular meeting of caregivers dealing with dementia Tuesday, April 19, at the Life Enrichment Center in Shelby. Although more than 60 percent of people with dementia will wander away from home, many families do not believe it will happen to them.
