Journey — Thursday, May 19th from
noon to 1 p.m. at the Patrick Senior
Center. Partnership for End of Life Is-
sues will host a program on “Elder
Law”, dealing with legal issues per-
taining to aging and the elderly. At-
torney Bob Crosswhite will discuss
Medicaid issues and the lead the ses-
sion, addressing common mistakes
people make. A snack lunch will be
served during the meeting. This program
is part of a Coffee and Conversation se-
ries presented free of charge by Journey,
a coalition which seeks to educate the
community about end-of-life issues. For

! Car Fit at
an automobile is an educational program
to be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the
Patrick Senior Center. The free program
is available to 32 people on a first come,
first serve basis and is developed by the
Senior Center May 20 - Help-
ing mature drivers find their perfect fit in
American Society on Aging in collab-
oration with AARP, American Occupa-
tional Therapy and AAA. Schedule

Classes
Pottery Classes with Ben Davison:
Tuesday and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at
the Kings Mountain Arts Center (in the
old Depot), 301 N. Piedmont Ave., Kings
Mountain. It is $85 for eight weeks plus
the price of the clay. Beginners or inter-
mediate potters welcome. Wheel-throw-
ing and hand-build techniques offered.
Classes are ongoing and students cah
join at any scheduled class time.

event of rain it will be at Kings Moun-
tain City Hall. This is a community wide
event sponsored by City of Kings Moun-

“Take Me Out to the Ballgame”: =
Baseball in Cleveland County - The
Kings Mountain Historical Museum
opened May 10 with its summer exhibit,
“Take Me Out to the Ballgame”: Base-
ball in Cleveland County. This exhibit
will feature items from the early mill
teams as well as local legends. Also, you
can stand at home base with the new
John Henry Moss Stadium as the back-
drop for a great photo opportunity. The
exhibit will run through August 13, 2011,
just in time for the American Legion
World Series at the Keeter Stadium in
Shelby, NC. If anyone has baseball
memorabilia that they would like to
share with the Museum visitors this sum-
mer, please call the Museum or bring it
by. :
