tile Mill. She was preceded in
death by her husbands, Lester
Moss and Eugene Mayhue.
A former member of Cen-
tral United Methodist Church
of Kings Mountain, she was a
member of Cannon United
Methodist Church, Snellville,
GA.
Surviving are her daugh-
ter, Cornelia Davis and hus-
band Albert of Lawrenceville,
GA; granddaughter, Beverly
Randazzo and husband Joe of
Lawrenceville, GA; grand-
son, Lester Davis of Stafford,
VA; great-grandchildren
Joseph, William and Robert
Randazzo of Lawrencevillle,
GA; brother, Willard Millen,
sister, Margaret Freeman, and
brother-in-law, Clyde Hardin
all of Kings Mountain, NC;
and numerous nieces and
nephews and extended fam-
ily.
A celebration of life serv-
ice was held Saturday, Aug.
27, at 2 p.m. at Ollie Harris
Memorial Chapel at Harris
Funeral Home, Kings Moun-
tain. Rev. James Lockridge
officiated and interment was
in Mountain Rest Cemetery
in Kings Mountain.
The family received
friends Saturday, Aug. 27,
from 1-2 p.m. prior to the
service at Harris Funeral

Gene Court, died Tuesday,
August 23, 2011, at Cleve-
land Regional Medical Cen-
ter in Shelby.
He was born in Cherokee
County, SC, son of the late
George Thomas Ruppe.

brother and son who grew
up attending Macedonia
Baptist Church in Kings
Mountain. He loved to cook
and spend time with his
family and friends.

Jennifer of Kings Mountain;
daughter, Stephanie Ruppe

Bobby of Mooresville;
mother, Gaynelle Ramsey

wife, Teresa of Kings

conducted Friday, August
26, at 11 a.m. at Macedonia
Baptist Church. Rev.
Michael Horne, Rev. Mike
Chambers and Rev. Ronnie
Wilson officiated. Interment
was in Mountain Rest
Cemetery.

was left inside. The vehicle is
a 1999 bronze or tan-colored
Dodge Neon sedan with li-
cense plate ZXI-8679.

after someone at her place of
employment took money from
her pocket book.

of down spouts from the side
of the church. Each spout was
made of copper and the value
of the property is estimated at
$2,220.
AUG. 27: A resident of
Brayton Ln. told officers that
he was assaulted with a mo-
torcycle helmet and had his .
hands bound together with an
extension cord before the sus-
pect absconded with his yel-
low moped.
AUG. 27: A resident of
Lake Montonia Rd: teported a
missing dog that could have
escaped or have been snatched
from a hole dug out under-
neath its cage. The dog is a
brown pitbull puppy with a
white face.
AUG. 27: A resident of
Baker St. told police that she
was assaulted by an assailant
who held her down, kicked
her in the head and punched
her in the face.

Waco Rd. reported a missing
dog that was allegedly taken
froth the resident’s front yard.
The dog is a pomeraniah ter-
rier mix puppy.
AUG. 28: Central United
Methodist Church, 113 S.
Piedmont Ave., reported theft
of copper down spouts from
the side of the church. The es-
timated value of the property
is $800.
AUG. 28: A South Car-
olina resident reported larceny
of items that were taken from
a Kings Falls apartment with-
out permission after the tenant
died. Items taken, include a
32” LCD TV, Timken Bearing
Tester Instrument, a George
Forman grill, a food processor,
a black-in-color nylon wallet,
tool box with tools and per-
sonal papers.
WRECKS
AUG. ,21: Officer Lee
Whittington said vehicles op-
erated by Ezell Bell, 215
Ebenezer Rd., and Jackie Bur-
ris, 622 1/2 E. Gold St., were
involved in a bump-up at Sil-
ver Express parking lot. Minor
damages were reported.
AUG. 24: Cpl. K.L. Put-
nam reported that Whitney
Smith, 304 Compact School
Rd, was backing out on W.
Parker St. and struck a parked
2002 Lincoln owned by Der-
rick Smith, 202 Roy Bell Rd.
Property damages were esti-
mated at $1300.
AUG. 24: Officer H. W.
Carpenter said that Brandon
Myers, 539 Stoney Point Rd.,
was traveling south on Second
St. when a vehicle driven by
Brian Noblett, 824 Second St.,
collided with Myers at the in-
tersection of Catherine and
Second streets. Carpenter said
that Noblett, who was travel-
ing east on Catherine St.,
failed to yield the right of way
at the intersection and collided
with Myers. Damages to each
vehicle were estimated at
$1,100. -
Toddler home
from hospital
Police say that the 2-year=
old boy who suffered a gun-
shot wound Aug. 9 has been
released from Levine Chil-
dren’s Hospital in Charlotte.
The toddler appeared to
have shot himself acciden-
tally.
Police have not released
details about the shooting
and no charges have been
filed since the investigation
is continuing.
