Cleveland County Sheriff Alan Norman said that his first deputy to arrive wit- nessed Dennis shoot Dawn as the deputy was exiting his patrol car. The deputy fired his gun, according to Nor- man, and Dennis fled the scene in a pickup truck, lead- ing the deputy on a chase that ended where the shoot- ing began. : There, Dennis shot and killed himself, according to the sheriff. He died on the scene. Curtin of Indian Trail, SC have joined forces to form Battleground Grill on South Rail- road Avenue in downtown Kings Mountain.
