Elite Trailblazers are now official members of the Mid Atlantic Carolinas Con- ference in our youth football program for the upcoming 2013 season: The MAC Conference is a member of the American Youth Football (AYF) organiza- tion. AYF is the largest youth football and cheerleading program in the nation. AYF provides teams the opportunity to play at both regional and national levels, with eight national divisions and sponsorship - from great companies/organizations includ- ing but not limited to: NFL, Under Armour, Riddell, Field Turf, Team Cheer and many more. The MAC Conference is aligned to the AYF Atlantic Region which consists of teams from Maryland, Washington DC, Vir- ginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Local conference members are comprised of nine teams from the Greater Gaston, Cleve- land, Rutherford, and Upstate SC County re- gions. Elite coaches and players are very excited about new membership and look for- ward to the competition in the upcoming fall. K.M. Elite is currently taking registration for Spring Training and Fall Football Regis- tration. Weekly Spring Strength and Condition Trainings are held at East Elementary School. EOG Tutorial Prep EOG Tutorial Prep will be held on every Monday and Thursday during the month of May during 4:30 — 5:30 p.m for 3rd — 5th grades only. : This tutorial is designed to help prepare students for the upcoming EOGs. KM Elite 3-4 year old basketball action KM Elite basketball has successful season KM Elite's youth basket- ball season was once again a success with the local teams competing in the Gastonia Parks and Recreation Divi- sion. : The Elite was successful in every age division. The White 5-6 year co-ed fin- ished in first place with an 8- 2 record and the Elite White 7-8 year old team finished second with a 9-3 mark. The Elite Black 9-10 year old boys were West Division champions and playoff run- ner-up with an 11-2 record. The KM Elite Gold 9-10. year old boys were Division B championship runner-up. The Elite 8-10 year old girls were Gastonia City Champions with a perfect 15-0 record, and the Elite 11- 12 year old girls were run- ner-up with a 7-3 mark. KM Elite hosted its 3-4 year old Lil Dribblers League internally. All prac- , tices and games were held at Bynum Chapel Life Center. The group competed its sea- son learning the basics and foundational skills of basket- ball. Elite registering for summer KM Elite will be register- ing kids for its summer en- richment/basketball league for ages 7-14. Elite Summer Enrich- ment will consist of summer basketball league and kids will also have an opportunity to participate in break-out sessions on topics such as public speaking, Elite 3-D character development, arts and crafts, reading and math, and much more. The cost for the summer enrichment basketball pro-. gram is $50, including a t- shirt. Elite kids who participated in the fall and winter sports will receive a discount.
