ELIZABETH STEWART lib.kmherald @gmail.com “We stepped out in faith and God has blessed our congregation,” says Rev. Charles Wallace, pastor of David Baptist Church. Wallace says his congre- gation is looking at “building down the road in the future” but for now the church is holding two worship serv- ices on the Sabbath. He preaches at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. and both services are well attended. In April 2011 the church decided to add another serv- ice because of increased at- tendance, not only in the sanctuary but in the Sunday school and the pastor says “everything is working out well.” Mid-week service and children and youth missions is held at 7 p.m. on Wednes- days and a Sunday 6 p.m. discipleship class and AWANA program for youth is followed by worship serv- ice at 7 p.m. Vacation Bible School will be held in July and children can sign up for the program at a booth at the Bethware Community Fair in June.
