LES Carolinas
in need of
foster parents
Thousands of children
in North Carolina need
safe and loving homes to
survive and thrive.
Lutheran Family Services
in the Carolinas (LFS Car-
olinas) is looking for com-
passionate families to
provide stable, structured
and loving homes for ado-
lescents.
Many times children
are forced to move to
neighboring counties in
order to be placed with a
foster family if the appro-
priate family can not be
found within their county.
Already faced with the
trauma often associated
with leaving their current
home, being placed into a
new school and commu-
nity can have negative af-
fects on their education,
behavior and mental state.
For this reason, LFS Car-
olinas strives to keep their
lives as unchanged as pos-
sible.
Qualified parents will
receive respite care, 24-
hour support, training,
monthly support groups,
appreciation events and re-
imbursement.
Classes begin on Tues-
day, July 9th, at 6 pm at
Resurrection Lutheran
Church, 600 Crescent Cir-
cle, Kings Mountain, NC.
For more information
on becoming a foster par-
ent please call 704-922-
