He was born in Cleveland . County, NC to the late Ray- mond Adair Reynolds Sr. and Lizzy Irene Waley Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a truck driver for Metal Re- cycling for 10 years, served in.the United States Marines during the Vietnam War, and he loved motorcycles. JULY 18: A resident of Silver: Street reported dam- Charlotte firefighter facing assault, animal cruelty charges A Gastonia man who police say attacked his girl- friend and kicked a kitten and threw the animal into a toilet is facing multiple charges including assault and animal cruelty. The woman was admitted to the Kings Mountain Hospital Emergency Room early Friday morning and that's when Gaston County police got involved. Bryan C. Barfield, 29, was charged with assault, as- sault in the presence of a minor, communicating threats and animal cruelty. Barfield is a firefighter in Charlotte and has been placed on paid administrative duty pending the out- come of his legal proceedings, according to the Char- lotte Fire Department. Officers met with a female victim who stated she had been assaulted by her boyfriend at their residence of 2722 Lowell Bethesda Rd. in Gastonia. The incident occurred during the evening hours of Thursday and continued into the morning Friday, ac- cording to information provided by police in Gaston County.
