CLUB — The Dough Makers Investment
Club (for women) usually meets every third
Monday of the month at 5:30 PM. However,
this month, they will have no meeting on the

POSITIVE ATTITUDES WALKING
CLUB - There is an open invitation to all
Kings Mountain ladies to join the Positive
Attitudes Walking Club. The club members
walk in various downtown areas of Kings
Mountain during lunch hours. An inspira-

Aug. 1 and 2 at 7 p.m. A workshop on
“Spiritual Gifts” will be held at 10 a.m. on

ANTIOCH BAPTIST CHURCH, 839
Antioch Road, in the Antioch Community
near Grover, will hold Homecoming Day
on Sunday, Aug. 4. Special singing will
begin at 10 a.m. followed by morning wor-
ship service at 11 a.m. Brad Holmes will
deliver the message. Picnic lunch will be
spread in the fellowship hall at noon. Mem-
bers, former members and friends are wel-
come.
CHESTNUT RIDGE BAPTIST
CHURCH — Vacation Bible School Sum-
mer Camp will be held Aug. 4-9 from 6:30-
8:30 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge Baptist

BACKPACK PROJECT - Please bring in
non-perishable food items for our backpack
project. These backpacks go to students who
need a little extra food over the weekend.
Backpacks are returned each Monday, filled
on Thursday, and handed out to students
when they leave on Friday.
COMPUTER CLASSES taught by Pat
Bolte will change to only Mondays from 9
a.m. — | p.m. for the months of July and Au-
gust. In September, classes will resume to
their regular schedule.
S:H.O.P items in August are peanut but-
ter, and jelly. Just drop off your donations at
the Center Monday — Friday between 8 a.m.

senior to help with this project. All items are
donated to the Crisis Ministry of Kings

SHOP FOR CAREGIVERS - A free work-
shop for caregivers of the elderly will be held
Thursday, Aug. 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Life En-
richment Center, 110 Life Enrichment Blvd.,

questions on estate planning, insurance, and
physician on chronic disease. ResCare is

Kings Mountain Historical Museum is
OPEN Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
The cost of admission is free, however do-
nations are appreciated. All donations go to-
ward supporting the museum’s mission of
informing the public of the history of the
City of Kings Mountain and surrounding
areas by preserving and exhibiting the 19th
and early 20th century collection.

Webb University will award over 450 de-
grees at the 2013 summer commencement
exercises on Monday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. and
3 p.m. in the Paul Porter Arena of the Lutz-
Yelton Convocation Center on the campus at
Boiling Springs. Both ceremonies are avail-
