KM led 65-62 with 2:18 left but Burns’ Chris Mont- gomery was fouled on a 3- point attempt from the corner and hit all three free throws to tie the game. Bul- lock and Montgomery traded 3-pointers to make the score 68-68 with 1:20 re- maining. Nelson McClain’s basket gave KM a 70-68 lead with a minute’ remaining. A 3-pointer from the cor- ner by Montgomery cut the margin to 80-78 with 24 sec- onds remaining. Burns had a shot at winning with a 3- pointer or forcing another overtime when Bullock missed two free throws with 20 seconds left, but as the Bulldogs crossed half court Adams stole the ball and went in for a layup to account for the final margin. Sherer led the KM attack with 20 points, 13 assists and six steals. Sanders scored 18 points, most of them coming in the first half to keep the score close.
