He spent his teen years in Lattimore, NC where he attended Crest. High School. In 1995 he joined Boy Scout Troop 107 in Lattimore, earning his Eagle in 2002. While in the troop he held the positions of Se- nior Patrol Leader, Assis- tant Senior Patrol Leader and Chaplain’s Aide. His troop elected him to the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s Honor Society. He advanced to Brother- : hood level in OA. Aaron attended Camp Bud Schiele a number of times and got to do the AARON SIMMONS they got to the campsite did they realize that they had forgotten their supper food. He and his patrol were hungry that night but learned valuable lessons on “Being Prepared” and listening to their leaders. After high school Aaron attended NCSU earning a BA in Sociol- ogy.
