WEAVER Longtime member First Baptist CONCORD - Mrs. Doro- thy “Dot” Patterson Weaver, 94, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednes- day, July 22, 2015. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Satur- day, July 25, 2015 at Wilkin- son Funeral Home with funeral service following in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rody Carland officiat- ing. A graveside service was held Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Mountain Rest Cem- etery in Kings Mountain with Dr. Chip Sloan officiating. Mrs. Weaver was born March 4, 1921 in Cleveland County. She was the daugh- ter of Clarence W. and Ellen Lovelace Blanton. The Weayv- ers lived in Kings Mountain for many years before mov- ing to Concord 15 years ago. Dot was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and her passion was raising basset hounds. Those left to cherish Dot’s memory are her loving hus- band, Fred Weaver; daughter, Susan W. Dalton and hus- band, Strickland, of Concord; grandchildren, Erin Plummer and husband, Rusty of Con- cord and Erik Dalton and wife, Abbie, of New York; great-grandson, Jeron Plum- mer and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Tone- lis, age 56, 1 a resident 1 111 Bent 1 Creck tL ain ey, 1 Nebo, NC, { formerly 1 of Kings 4 Mountain, died July 22, 2015 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, He was born in Allentown, PA., son of the late Edward J. Tonelis. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Michele K. Tone- lis. He was a 1977 graduate of Parkland High School, Whitehall, PA.,and 1983 graduate of Penn State. He received his Masters Degree from University of Missouri, Rolla, MO. He was an em- ployee of Unimin in Spruce Pine, NC where he worked in mineral process research, and was former Plant Man- ager for 14 years for Kings Mountain Mining. Michael was an avid golfer, enjoyed sports, hiking and Nascar. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son who was always willing to help anyone. William Andres Devane SHELBY - Bill was born July 28, 1933, in Fay- etteville, N.C., to William A. and Janie Stevens DeV- ane. He graduated from Darlington School in 1951, attended N.C. State Uni- versity and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a BS in Business in 1955. He earned his CPA designation in Charlotte. He worked for Riegel Paper Company in Wilmington, N.C., Cherry, ‘Bekaert, and Holland Ac- counting Firm in Charlotte, and traveled extensively in his Public Accounting capacity. He served in the North Carolina National Guard, and was a mem- ber of Shelby Presbyterian Church, Shelby, NC. Bill loved travel, yard projects, concerts, aircraft, flying, electronics, com- puters, and botany. He cherished spending time with his family. A memo- rial service will be held at a later date, and a marker will be placed in Sardis Presby- terian Church Cemetery in Charlotte. He was pre- ceded in death by his brother, Gregory Kenneth Fletcher. Fletch was employed in the textile industry and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid NASCAR and Dallas Cowboys fan. Frances was a member of Polkville Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teach, prayer chair person, and a faithful servant of the Lord. Joe Camp, walking East on Bridges Drive, told the officer that he had to dive out of the way and down an embankment to keep from being hit by the vehicle. Carpenter said that a parked 2011 Honda, owned by John Jones, 110 Rollingbrook Road, was struck by a hit and run driver at 1314 Shelby Road.
