Cecil Dickson SHELBY - Cecil Davis Dickson, 79, died Wednes- day, Sept. 16, 2015, at Hos- pice at Wendover, A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Brady and Isabel Davis Dickson St. Cecil served as President of the 1954 class of Shelby High School and upon graduation, was made lifetime President. Services were held 3 p.m. Friday, at Shelby Presby- terian Church. The family received friends following the service at the church. A private family burial will take place in Sunset Cem- etery. She was born in Monroe County, Miss. Mrs, Giesey was a nurse and an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church- The Monastery. Phyllis Ann Turner Ogle KINGS MOUNTAIN - Phyllis Ann Turner Ogle, age 61, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 15,2015. She was born to the late Roy Harrison Turner and Maggie Etta Hensley Turner in South Carolina. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ogle and sis- ter, Evelyn Reagan. She was a loving mother and grand- mother who adored taking care of her grandbabies. A native of Cleve- land County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ruby Van- Dyke McSwain. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was truly one of a kind. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling the ar- rangements. : KRISTIN BROOKE HARDIN : in KM Sports Hall of Fame CHARLOTTE —Kristin Brooke Hardin, 31, resident of Charlotte and formerly al of Grover, went to be with her § Lord after 8 along and coura- geous bat- tle with : breast cancer on September 21, 2015 at her home. She was born in Cleve- land County, NC on Octo- ber 18, 1983. She graduated from Kings Mountain High School, Class of 2002. She was very active in the Sports program in high school, excelling in volley- ball, basketball and softball. She led her volleyball team in two NC State Champi- onships and is a member of the Kings Mountain Sports Hall of Fame. Kristin attended the University of North Car- olina at Charlotte and was employed with Positec, Inc., Charlotte. She was of the Baptist faith and an avid Carolina Tarheels fan. She was a wonderful, spe- cial and loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend who always had a smile on her face. She will be remembered as a true friend who loved everyone unconditionally. She had a ‘beautiful spirit and a heart for helping others. Surviving are her par- ents, Scott and Jada Ellis Hardin of Grover; brother Logan Hardin and fiance Lindsey of Charlotte; pa- ternal grandparents, For- rest and Juanita Hardin and maternal grandparents, Donald and Lois Ellis, all of Grover; special friend Amanda Wolfe of Char- lotte; uncles Scott Ellis and wife Diane and family of Chapin, SC and Bradley Ellis and family of Grover; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends Samuel Wolfe and Jason Wolfe and special furry friends who Kristin loved very much: Bosco, Buford and Betty. Traffic slowed or stopped abruptly due to a law en- forcement vehicle stopped on the right shoulder of the roadway. The semi truck was unable to stop and hit the Chevrolet. Carpenter said that a vehicle operated by Charles David Howell, 559 Crocker Road, struck a parked 2004 Chev- rolet owned by Elvia Pear- son, 803 Katherine Avenue, which was parked in the right lane of the east-bound lanes of East Gold Street for the driver to unload equip- ment. Property damages were estimated at $1300. SEPT. 12: Officer H. W. Carpenter cited Brandon Blaine Boone 302 Amhurst Drive, with leaving the scene of an accident. The Boone 2000 Pontiac struck a 2000 Chevrolet operated by John Edward Grier, 424 Margrace Road, at the in- tersection of Maner and Jolly Street where Grier had stopped at a four-way stop. Wittington said that Tiffany Whitley, Clover, SC, was backing her 2013 Dodge from a parking space at Dollar General on York Road and struck a 2000 Ford operated by Key- shonda Monique Byers, 612 Charles St, Apt. 67. Property damages were es- timated at $2200. SEPT. 16: Officer M.D, Butler said a hit and run driver lost control of a 1998 Isu on Galilee Church Road and struck a fire hydrant doing $1800 to the hydrant and $1200 damage to the car registered to Rhonda Moore, 5075 Pennington Place Apt. 29, Prior to the crash Trooper Benge was attempting to stop the vehi= cle for no registration plate and seat belt violation. SEPT. 16: Officer H.W. Carpenter said that Karl Thomas Thurman, Shelby, operating a 2014 Kia, re- ported debris from a trailer being towed by a truck damaged his vehicle. The accident happened on the US 74 Bypass. SEPT. 16: Officer H.W. Carpenter said that brakes failed on a 1994 Honda op- erated by Christopher Lee Brennecke of Cherryville and the car struck a 2003 Infinity operated James Roberts Jr. of Shelby. The accident happened in the parking lot of 2111 Shelby Road. Property damages were estimated at $3500. SEPT. 17: Officer H.W. Carpenter said that Cecilia Marlow of Shelby, oper- ating a 2009 Kia, struck a 2012 Chevrolet operated by Benjamin Ryan Davison, 204 Cameron Drive.
