He is survived by his wife, Cora Ford Seism. Two daughters: Mrs. Joe Bennett, Gastonia; Mrs. Floyd Huffstetler, Llneolnton. One Stepdaughter, Mrs. Floyd Simms Cherryville. One sister, Mrs. George Poston, High Point. One brother, C. Seism, High Point. Thirteen grandehildren, one great-grandchild. Services were held Thursday at 3 P.M. at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Services were conducted by Rev. L.D. Scruggs, and Rev. Floyd Keaser. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. One son, Kenneth Armstrong. She was a native of Cleveland The infant daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Jimmy Crawford on Micky Ave. in Bessemer City, died Friday, Nov, 5 at Kings Mountain Hospital at the age of two weeks. Surviving also is one sister, Michelle Crawford, at home. Paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Crawford, Bessemer City. Maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Davis. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3:00 P.M, atG.W, Gill and Sons Chapel, Services were conducted by Rev. Robert L. Garvin. Burial was in Adams Chapel Church Cemetery. County. His parents are Mr, and Mrs. Theodore Huffman, Sr. of K. M. He is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Fay Black Huff man. One son, Hugh Huffman, Early, N.C. Four daughters: Mrs. Wil liam Wylie, Mrs. Betty Ann Richards, Mrs. Peggy Rich ards, all ofGrover; Mrs. Joan Byers, Shelby. Burial was in Luke Lutheran Cemetery. The Spurrlows, a group of highly talented young people from all parts of the nation, will appear on the campus of Gardner - Webb College to night, November 10, 1971, at 8; 30 in the Bost Physical Ed ucation Building. Tickets for this special event are on sale at Suttle Drugs, Bobby’s Record Shop and Loy’s Mens Shop, all in She lby and Boiling Springs Drugs and the Campus Den in Boll ing Springs. Advance tickets are $1.00 and tickets at the door will be $1.50. Church groups wishing to purchase groups of more than ten can do so for .75 each from the office of student s>ersonnel at the college. This group is made up of 18 of the finest young singers in the nation. Their average age is 19 and they were chosen from mure than 100 auditioned last June in the last of sever al audition sessions. They liave traveled from coast to coast presenting more than 600 individual con certs in colleges, high scho ols, auditoriums, conven tions, and on television. They have recently appeared on a Bob Hope NBC Specialaswell as on tlieir own syndicated series. “America’s Young Majority.” One of the lilghlights of last year’s tour was a concert at the White House on Thanks giving Day for the President, his family and 110 wounded Vietnam veterans. Their music is varied and Includes pop, soul, folk, folk- rock, instrumental selections and inspirational.
