He gets cooperation from other prostitutes in his search for the killer—simply because they feel he is sin cere. Of course, the fact that he's rich and retired doesn't hamper their willing response. KINGS MOUNTAIN MIRROR, WKDNKSDAY, DFCKMItKR 15, 1971, I’A'IF 7 Sr. Citizens, Hostesses, Enjoy Festive Christmas Party Over 100 Senior Citizens, their guests, and hostesses from the Senior Womens Club celebrated the festive season at a Christmas party which was held at noon on Friday, Dec, 10th at the Womens Club. Mrs. W.T. Weir, president of tile Womens Club, greeted everyone at the door and gave a speech of welcome, assisted by Mrs. Paul Mauney and Mrs. Paul Hendricks, who were responsible for organising the party. Mrs. E.W, Griffin, Sr., gave tlie invocation, after which long lines formed at the serving tables where the covered dish luncheon was spread. The tables were literally overflowing with food and al most groaning under the welglit of more than seventy dishes containing meats, veg etables aiul salad and over forty scrumptious desserts. Three long tables and a tup table were set with places for 100 people. The tables were decorated with Santa Claus napkins, candy canes and a favor for each person. The fkvors were small glass jars filled with candy and decorat ed as Santa Claus heads com plete with red felt hats and white fringe beards. Each table had three large Christmas center pieces which were given as door prizes at the end of the lunch eon. The Senior Choir from Kings Mountain High School sang a selection of Christmas music and carols conducted by Mrs. Merle McClure and accom panied on the piano by Lynne Bridges and ^cky Cashion. Door prizes were won by the following; Mrs. Robert Morrison, Mrs. Lula Blanton, Mrs. Virginia Herndon, Mrs. Irene Bossart, Mrs. Tracy McGinnis, Rev. Pasclial Waugh, Mrs. E.J. Hoffman, Mr. Aubrey Mauney, Mrs. Manly Moorhead, Mrs. Marie Queen, Mrs.Settlemeyer, Mr. John Clonlnger, Mrs. Corn elia Herndon, Mrs. Boyce Patterson, Mrs. E.C. Cooper. Rotary Has Yule Party The Kings Mountain Rotary Club held a Christmas party for members and tlielr wives on Thursday, Dec. 9tli at the Kings Mountain Country Club. The tables were covered with white cloths and decor ated with red napkins and red polnsettlas ( one for every lady). Also on tlie tables were miniature Rotary banners from all parts of the U.S.A. and foreign countries. Fifty six party goers dined on slirimp cocktail, steak, baked potatoes, salad and des sert. Bill Russell welcomed the lady guests and Mrs. Rob ert Goforth responded.
