KENNETH ARTHUR KUENZLI Vows Are Said In Candlelight t Vickie Diane Connor and Kenneth Arthur Kuenzii said their wedding vows in a candlelight ceremony Sat., Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. in the memorial chapel of First Presbyterian Church in Greetisboro. Dr. Joseph Mullin of ficiated. Music was provided by Frank Pethel of Green sboro, formerly the organist for St. Matthews Lutheran Church of Kings Mountain, and Jeremiah Clarke, who played the Trumpet Voluntary as the bride entered. Church decorations in cluded one large altar piece of glads, roses, carnations and a variety of other flowers. Two spiral candelabras were situated on either side of the altar. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a dress entirely of white velvet with long puffed sleeves and wide cuffs edged in single band of white lace. The simple lines of the empire waist were accented with a band of lace under the bust and over the shoulders. The dress had an Edwardian lace collar. She wore a floor length mantilla veil edged in lace. A small chapel hat contained several layers of illusion for heighth. The bride carried an arm bouquet of long stem pink roses atid white baby’s breath. The stems were tied with a white velvet bow with streamers. She also carried a lace handkerchief, an heirloom from her maternal grandmother Mrs, J.C. Clary, The bride's matron of honor was Mrs. Dennis Conner, a sister-in-law, and her maid of honor was Miss Ann Woodyard of Greensboro. Both attendants wore identical burgandy velvet dresses with bolero style jackets, pink ruffled collars and pink ruffle at the sleeve wrist. The dresses, with empire style, had a slightly layered look. The headpieces were double layer bows of burgandy velvet with illusion attached. They carried arm bouquets of long stem pink carnations and white baby's breath. The register was kept by Miss Joy Jolley of Kings Mountain. The bridegroom’s at tendants included Dennis E. Connor of Kings Mountain, I > bride's brother, and Eugene Hastings of Greensboro. The best man was Lou Megremis of Greensboro. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Conner of Kings Mountain. She is a graduate of Kings Mountain high and Greensboro College where she earned an AB degree in special education. She is doing graduate work at UNC-Chapel Hill and is by Mclver School, Greensboro. The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kuenzii of Long Island, N.Y. He holds a BS degree in mechanical engineering from University of Florida. He has also done graduate work at Newark College of Engineering and NC State University. He is employed as an engineer with Western Electric Co., Safeguard Defense Division. A reception following the ceremony was held in the Garden Room at the church. Decorations were pink roses in a silver candelabra as a table centerpiece. Highlight of the table was a five-tiered wedding cake with real pink roses and topped with hand made bells. Pink punch was served by Miss Lee Forlune and cake by Mrs. Mary Anne Claiborne both of Greensboro. Goodbyes were siad by Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Tripp of Greensboro. Out-of-town guests included Tile J.C, Clarys; the Everett Flemings; the Thomas Goforths; Misses Joy Jolley, Gay Jolley, Robin Cash, Marlene Cash; Mrs. Herman Cash; and Johnny Reynolds, all of Kings Mountain. The Wilson Hulicks of Shelby and die Boyce Brannons of Inman, S.C. Also 14 students and their parents of the bride's school. For the wedding trip to Miami Beach, the bride wore a three-piece suit of pale blue check. She wore a corsage of white roses and her gift from the bridegroom, a cham pagne-colored mink cape. The couple will reside at 4200 Beckford Dr., Green sboro. The couple was honored at numerous dinners and showers by their friends in Greensboro and on Mon., Feb. 4 at a miscellaneous shower given by the bride's students at the home of the Louis Joneses.
