A Thursday morning mishap at the intersection to Bridges St. and Gantt St resulted in 1800 total damages. Sgt. T.P. King investigated ’ the accident and reported Bobby Askew Collins of 901 N. Gantt St. was traveling south on Gantt and the windows of his truck fogged 19 causing him to collide with a car westbound on Bridges. Ihe other car was operated by Frederick Scott Sisk of 305 N. Cansler st. Damage to the Collins truck was $200 and $600 damage was done to the Sisk auto. Sgt. King reported another accident Saturday at 1:40 p.m. on King St. at Piedmont Ave. According to the report Walter Lewis of Rt. 1, Box 410, 1 Kings Mountain was stopped for the light at the intersection headed west when he was struck from behind by Ken neth Leon Alexander of Rt. 5, Shelby. Alexander told the officer his brakes failed causing the collision. Damage to Alexander’s car was $250 and $200 damage was recorded for the Lewis vehicle. A Sunday night wreck on N. Piedmont Ave. near Moms St, involved a parked car, a utility pole and a no parking sign. According to investigating 1 officer Ptl. Billy Benton, Ray Edward Ball of 318 N. Pied mont Ave. was traveling north on Piedmont when his gas pedal stuck causing the car to go but of control. His auto ran ctf the ri^t side of the street and hit the sign, then came beck across the street hitting a utility pole and a parked car. The parked car belonged to Kelly Joe Ball of 405 N. Piedmont. Damage to the Kelly Ball car was $300 and $500 damage was done to the Ray Ball auto. A dty-owned truck was involved in a traffic accident Monday at 11:35 a.m. at the , intersection of Railroad Ave. and King St. Ptl. Don Ivey reported the city truck, driven by Basil Grady Hoyle of 204 Catherine St. was making a right turn from King' onto Railroad when he applied the brakes and they didn’t work. Jonas Andy Bell of Rt. 3, Kings Mountain was setting at the intersection on Railroad waiting for the light when the truck struck his car. Damage to the truck was $200 and $250 damage was done to the Bell car. MC2S1; one 308 Savage automatic rifle, serial no. 2271576; one Remingtbn .22 caliber bolt-action rifle, aerial no. 110; one Harrington Richard Huntsman .58 caliber musket reproduction, serial no. AL 256367; one Brovming Hunting Bow, serial no. 9W2202; one 30-30 Winchester lever action rifle, Teddy f Roosevelt Centennial reproduction (metal emblem on stock reads “1900-1909”; one Sears 12 guage single barrel sbotgiai. Model no. 1001-100.
