Oates of Cleveland County, North Carolina, this is to notify all persons having ORDER AUTHORIZING ?105,000 GAS SYSTEM BONDS BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Kings Mountain: 1. That, pursuant to The Local Governmait Bond Act, as amended, the City of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, is hereby authorized to contract a debt, in addition to any and all other debt which said City may now or hereafter have power or authority to con tract, and in evidence thereof to issue Gas System Bonds in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $105,000 for the purpose of providing funds, with any other availa ble funds, for enlarging and improving the gas system of said City, including the con struction of a peak shaving plant and appurtenant facili ties and the acquisition of any necessary land, rights of way and equipment. 2. That taxes shall be levied in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the in terest on said bonds. 3. That a sworn statement of the debt of the City has been filed with the City Clerk and Treasurer and is (pen to public inspection. 4. That this order shall take effect 30 days after its pub lication following adoption, unless it is petitioned to a vote of the peo^e as provided in G.S. 159-60 in which event the order will take effect when ap proved by the voters of the City at a referendum as pro vided in said Act. The forgoing order has been introduced and a sworn statement of debt has been filed under The Local Govern ment Bond Act showing the appraised value of the City of Kings Mountain, North Caro lina, to be $83,585,499.00 and the net debt thereof, including the proposed bonds, to be $3,505,000.00. A tax will be levied to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds if they are issued. Anyone who wishes to be heard on the questions of the validity of the lx)nd order and the advisa bility of issuing the bonds may appear at a public hearing or an adjournment thereof to be held at the City Hall in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, on July 28, 1975 at 7:30 P.
