I97S Mitchells Wed In Double-Ring Ceremony -1 I Beulah United Methodist Church was the setting Sun- (hiv h r a 3 p. m. wedding uniting Miss Mary Alice Wolfe and Mark ftunn Mitchell in marriage Ttie couple pledged vows of the double-ring ceremony before the Rev. W. C. Stroupe, minister of the church. Mrs. Harvey Carpenter was ■ rganist for the program of nuptial music. The altar of the church was decorated with a large arrangement of white gladioli, white mums, red carnations and blue cushion mums centered with two seven branch candelabra set with tapers and banked by emerald palms. Lawrence Marshall Wolfe, Jr. escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. The bride’s traditional gown was fashioned of while polyester crepe with lace trimming the gi wn and train. The bodice was enhanced by a V neckline edged with lace and short puffed sleeves. The waist length veil of illusion was caught l(> a camelot cap I utlined with pearls. She wore a silver bracelet that had belonged to the groom’s maternal grandmother. Her cascading btHiquel was of white miniature carnations, baby’s breath with hints of blue and red dried star flowers and ivy. Miss Glenda Ann White of Charh'tte attended her sister as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss R' xanna Beam of Kings Mountain and Mrs. John W. Rudasill, Jr. of Lawndale. All the attendants wore light blue polyester gowns with wide-trimmed white lace hat trimmed with blue band. They carried b(>uquets of red carnations, while miniature carnations and accented with a touch of blue star flowers and baby’s breath with Cari'lina blue streamers at tached. The bridegroom’s father was best man. Ushers were fiale Alan Wolfe, the bride’s brother, and Matthew Mit chell of Decatur, Ga., the bridegroom’s brother. After the ceremony the bride’s parents entertained at a reception in the church fellowship hall. She was employed by the Cleveland County School System as a fifth grade teacher at Wac(' Elementary School. Tlie bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Earl Mit chell of Decatur, Ga. He is a graduate of Asheville High School. Palm Beach Junior C liege in Florida with an AA Engineering Design degree and UNC-Charlolte with a BSE in Engineering Science, Mechanics and Materials. Before her May 29 wedding in Harrisburg, Mrs. Mauney was Miss Anne Jenkins. Sharing honors with Mrs, Mauney in the receiving line were Miss Priscilla Hamrick of Bessemer City, whose wedding to Dr. Jeff Mauney of Kings Mountain takes place July 24, and Miss Karen Sparks, Aug. 7 bride-elect of Steve Plonk. All the honorees received orsages of summer daisies and baby’s breath and gifts for their kitchens. Summer flowers were used through(>ut the Bridges home. Mrs. Anthony greeted guests at the front door and invited them into the living room where the honorees received. Guests were invited into the dining room where the refreshment table was presided over by Mrs. J. C. Bridges and Mrs. George Plonk, Coca Colas were served in the den. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Joe Hendr- den, Mrs. Tom Bridges, Miss Jane Anthony and Miss Lynne Bridges. The refreshment .able was overlaid with white linen and held a central arrangement of daisies, baby’s breath and Queen Anne’s lace in a cut glass container. Silver ap- pi'intments held a variety of sandwiches, ham biscuits, fresh strawberries, stuffed cherry tomatoes, mints, miniature chicken drum sticks and sweets.
