recently completed six
weeks of training In fun
damental military skills at
the Army ROTC basic
camp at Fort Knox, Ky.
The basic camp Is
designed to give Junior
college graduates and
college sophomores who
have not taken ROTC
coiu^s the chance to enter
the program. The camp
also qualifies high school
graduates for the ROTC
program at any one of the
nation’s six military Junior
colleges.
During the encampment,
cadets received training In
basic rifle marksmanship,
military drUl and
ceremonies, com
munications and In
dividual and small unit
tactics.
Stubblefield Is a student
at Western Carolina
University, Cullowhee,
N.C.
He Is a 1978 graduate of
Bessemer City ^ High
School.
LIONS PROGRAM

present the program at
tonight’s Kln^ Mountain
Lions Club meeting at 7
o’clock at the KH Motor
Inn. Assisting Ledford will
be Ms. Qllda Cooper.
Ledford Is chsdrman of the
Cleveland Coimty Unit of
the American Cancer
Society.
