Dr. T.A. Powell of ficiated at the rites, and Interment was In Adam's Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Adams was a native of Gastonia and a retired employe of Firestone Textile Mill. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 4. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gonle Genell L. Adams; two sons, Clyde Adams, Jr, of Charlotte and Clarence Edward Adams of Kings Mountain; one brother. Mrs, Dorothy Burris of Kings Mountain; three brothers, Clarence Adams, Ray Adams and Ralph Adams, all of Kings Mountain; nine grand children and four great grandchildren. Mr. Stroupe was a native of Gaston County, son of Mrs. Ada Belle Sain of Llncolnton and the late J. Hunter Stroupe. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and owned and operated Southern Wholesale Fabrics In Gastonia. Also surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irene Roberts Stroupe; a son, Hunter Plato Stroupe, Jr. of Bessemer City; two stepsons, Ray Cline of Gastonia and Thurman Cogdlll of Raleigh; a daughter, Mrs. Steve Slepln of Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother, Paul Stroupe of Gastonia, and three grandchildren.
