A hot-dog supper with all the trimmings, fun and games, and a Halloween spook house wlU feahire the event, which Is open to the public. Mr. and Mrs. Larry McDaniel, co-presidents, said that hotdog plates will be available at $1.60 for adults and $1 for children and take-out plates will be avsiUable at 4 p.m. with the serving line beginning at 6 p.m. Fun and games get underway at 6 p.m. and the spook house also opens at 6 p.m. Door prizes will In clude two turkeys, a country ham, and a truck load of firewood. Am. Legion Dance American Legion Post 165 will sponsor a Halloween dance Saturday night from 8:30 until 12:80 p.m. at the Post Home. Music will be by “The Skyllners.” A $10 first prize and two free dance tickets will go to the best-costumed and door prizes will also be awarded. Admission Is $8 per couple and the public Is Invited to join Legion naires In the Halloween event. Legion Yard Sale A Gigantic yard sale will be held at American Legion Post 166 on Sat., Nov. 10th, and all Post and Auxiliary members are invited to contribute odds and needs, clothing, suid other items and bring to the American Legion Parking Lot by 8 a.m. that day. Pick-up service Is available by calling the Post Home, 739-9039, said Commander Gene Tlgnor. All proceeds from the Yard Sale will go lor Post Improvements. Beef Hash Supper A craft and toy sale will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. In front of Fashion Cleaners on Bast King Street. Second Annual Civitan Run Sat. The second annual Clvltan Courtsquare Run Is set for noon Sat., Oct. 27 In downtown Shelby. A one mile fun run and 6,000, 10,000 and 20,000 meter runs are scheduled. The run Is being held to benefit the Special Olympics and mentally , handicapped In Cleveland County. Entry forms may be picked up In any bank or savings and loan In Shelby. Entry fee Is $6 In advance or $6 on race day. All entries will receive a T-shirt and all persons finishing the race will receive a certificate.
