Driver of the vehicle was identified by Sgt. Bob Hayes as Valerie F. ’Taylor, 21, of Waco Rd. Ms. Taylor told Officer Hayes she had slowed down on Second St. to avoid hitting another pedestrian on a bicycle when the accident oc curred. Damage to the ’Taylor car was estimated at $250. Sheila Merck Smith, ol 204 Cranford St., told PU. Mike Sanders that her 1973 Ford “went dead” as she made her turn'onto Floyd St. Thursday and her car was struck in the rear by a Chevy truck operated by Judy B. Deaver of 1700 Northwoods Dr. Damages were estimated at $100 to the Smith vehicle and $150 to the Deaver vehicle. Ptl. Ralph Grlndstaff charged John Edward Heath, of 302 Sterling Dr., with driving left of center after a two-car crash Friday on Sterling Dr. Haskel F. Bumgardner, of Rt. 2, operating a 1977 Chevy Station Wagon, told police he had pulled Into a private drive to allow a lady to get out of the vehicle as the Heath 1971 Chevy started backing across the street Into Sterling Dr., then pulled to the left of roadway to a mailbox. Benton, John Edward Heath, of 1030 Barnette Dr., operating a 1971 Chevy, stated that a “lady in a red pickup truck .stopped at the entrance of the steak house and motioned me out into traffic." He said he didn’t see the Hector 1974 Kawasaki which was traveling west in the turning lane. ’The Heath car was damaged ap proximately $600 and the Hector Kawasaki was damaged approximately $700.
