A five-pound package mailed Cars Stolen From Local Car Dealer Police have recovered two of the four vehicles which were stolen Wednesday night from Nation Chevrolet Co. on S. Railroad Ave. The break-ln was reportedly discovered about 6:30 a.m. Thursday when police officers went to the business after fin ding an abandoned van less than a mile from the dealership. Entry was reported made to the building and a cutting torch reportedly used to try to break into a safe. Reported stolen were a 1979 Chevrolet LUV pickup truck, a 1980 Camaro X-28, a 1979 Chevrolet van and a 1977 Chevrolet Vega that belonged to a customer. Police reported recovering the van and the Vega, the latter abandoned on a dirt road off U.S. 74 West of Kings Mountain. Only a small amount of gas was reported to have been in the vehicles. Police are continuing their investigation. In other law enforcement activities during the weekend: Anthony T.
