Jerry Dale McKenzie Completes Basic Trfiining PVl-Bl Jerry Dale McKenzie of Route 1, has completed basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. and la attending airborne school at Fort Bennlng, (Jeorgla. During the eight weeks of training cycle, trainees studied general military subjects In cluding dismounted drill, military courtesy, training and use of the M16 rifle, hand grenades, M60 machinegun. Claymore mines, light anti-tank weapons, protective measures for nuclear and biological defense, physical training and fundamentals of soldiering. PVl-Bl McKenzie also qualified as expert with the M16 rifle and hand grenades. A graduate of Tryon School, he Is married to the former Debra King of Kings Mountain, and Is the son of Mrs. Margaret McKenzie of Bessemer City and the late Robert M.
