I think he and perhaps others on the tesun were robbed by not being picked on the North Carolina Shrine Bowl Team. I know that there Is not another back In the state with over 1000 yards and 16 touchdowns to his credit In 3A ball and perhaps even In 4A ball. I think that he Is the best back In the state and I also think that Kings Mountain has the best 3A team In the state, but yet Kevin Mack Is sitting at home while others not as well qualified are over there playing In the Shrine Ball Game. I don’t think It Is right. I realize that Kevin had to have a lot of help from the line and others and they certainly deserve all the credit they can get, but he did an awful lot of It on his nwn and he did not get the proper credit for It when Shrine Bowl selections came around. I think that the football fans of lOngs Mountain ought to write to the Shrine Bowl Selection Committee and let their feelings be made known loud and clear. Maybe that Is why lately the North Carolina teams are getting the socks beaten off of them. I Just wanted people to know how I feel about this injustice being done to a fine young man and to a fine football player. Beautiful things stem (rorr. bright dreams aglow.
