CASEY In OAFFNBY, S.C. — Oraveslde services for Oliver Blease Oaaey, 69, of 303 Sherwood Dr., father of Mrs. Thomas (Casey) Durham of Kings Mountain, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 8 p.m. from Rose Lawn Memorial Oardens by Rev. Leon Newton. Mr. Casey died Monday af ternoon in Kings Mountain Hospital. He was a native of Inman, S.C. who had lived In Oaffney for 17 years. He was a retired salesman and member of Buford Street Methodist Church. Mr. Casey was son of the late Dora Wilson and Oliver R. Oaaey. Surviving, in addition to his daughter In Kings Mountain; are his wife, Mrs. Grace Turpin Casey; his mother, Mrs. Julia Casey of Inmgn, S.C.; two sfsters, Mrs. AUce Culberth of Inman, S.C. and Mrs. Gene Britton of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three brothers, Dan Casey of Atlanta, Oa., Neal Casey of Enoree, S.C. and John Casey of %>artanburg, S.C.; his son-in- law, Dr. Thomas G. Durham of Kings Mountain; one grandson, Casey Durham, and three granddaughters, Julie, Pat and Sallee Durham, all of Kings Mountain. In lieu of flowers the family has designated memorials to the Shiiner's Hospital and the Heart Fund. Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home was in charge, of arrangements. MRS. Docu McIntyre MRS. Andy Broughton and Rev. George Willis, Interment following In Sunnyslde Cemetery. Mrs. Martin was daughter of the late W.A.and Janie Gibson Martin. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret McKlncle of Bessemer City; a brother, W.D. Martin of Gastonia; and a sister, Mrs. Zula Shehan of Blacksburg, S.C. MRS. Julius Families Lighting Candles Forty families In the Crescent Hill-Crescent Circle neigh borhood will participate In the third annual Christmas luminary project by Ughtlng candles In front of their residences this season. The candles will glow from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Christmas Eve and from 6 p.m. until the candles are extinguished on Christnuis Night. The project drew many visitors to the area last year and la expected to attract a large crowd this season. Most home owners In the area also decorate their lawns. She was a native of Cherokee County, S-C., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Snead. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; one son, Milton Hope, Jr. of Fort Walton Beach, Fla,' three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Dot) Hayes of Kings Moimtain, Mrs. Albert (Rhonda Kay) Lutz of Bessemer City and Mrs. Harold (Clytle Joyce) Guffey of Gastonia; and one sister, Mrs. Mae Bridges of Winston Salem. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
