IOTA Boys >^in 77-65 KMHS Cagers Split Kings Mountain High's var sity boys won their second game In their last three outings Tuesday night at home, 77-65 over Chase, but the girls dropped their third game In the last four, 66-46. The Mountaineers, now 2-8 In the Southwestern 3-A Con ference and 3-6 overall, had their hottest shooting night of the season, hitting 66 percent. All five of the KMHS starters topped the 60 percent msu*!!. The girls played their best first half of the year, trailing the unbeaten Lady Trojans by only 23-21 at Intermission. But they turned cold midway of the third period and saw their SWC record dip to 1-4 and their overall mark to 3-6. All five starters hit double figures for the Mountaineers, who led most of the way. Carl Smith ted the ivay with 16, followed by Demetrius Goode 16, Terrence Blalock 14 and Eric Dixon and Gerald Byers 10 each.
