Course Slated
The continuing education
department of Cleveland
• Technical College will sponsor
its summer Real Estate courses
beginning with registration on
Wed. July 9 and ending Sept. 23.
This 72-hour class will meet
from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Room
2222 on the Tech campus on
Wednesday and Thursday July 9
and July 10, and then shift to
Monday and Tuesday evenings
the following week at the same
. hours.
Ralph Gilbert, local realtor,
will instruct. In addition to the
$3 registration fee, books are re
quired, and are available in the
school bookstore.
Dan T. Camp, Tech’s Dean of
Continuing Education, states
“this will be the last 72-hour real
estate course to be offered at the
school since the Real Estate
II Licensing Board is raising re-
^ quirements to 90 hours effective
January 1,1981. This will make
it necessary for those registering
in the Fall Quarter to have the
90 hours since they will be tak
ing the broker exam after the
first of the year based upon suc
cessful completion of Tech’s real
estate course.”
Interested students should
l^ome for registration at 6:30
p.m. on July 9 in order that the
first class may begin by 7 p.m.

The tournament will be a dou
ble elimination tournament with

divisions this year will be 12 and

under, and 18 and under. All
finals will be on Sat. July 19, if
rained out, it will be July 20th.
Junior and Senior Life Saving
Apiurses will get underway July
zlst at Deal Street Pool and will
be conducted for two weeks
from 7 until 9 pm. Mondays
through Fridays.
Instructor will be Miss Jane
Campbell. Register by calling

Miss Campbell said the Junior
course is a 10 hour course of in-
^ruaion and the Senior Course
is a 21-hour course of instruc
tion.

A native of Rutherford Coun
ty, Mrs. Bradley was the
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Lawson Freeman and
widow of Thomas Bradley, Sr.
Surviving are one son,
Thomas Bradley of Charlotte,
two daughters, Mrs. Trudence
Hughes and Miss Eleanore
Bradley, both of the home; six
grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren.

Willie Bell Freeman Eaker, 79,
of Hampton, Va., formerly of
Kings Mountain, Forest City
and Cherryville, will be held
Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
from the Chapel of Masters
Funeral Home by Rev. Junior
Morris, interment following in
Mount Zion Church cemetery.
Mrs. Eaker died Sunday after
noon.
She was the daughter of Will
and Mae Tucker Freeman and
widow of Foster Freeman and
Stowe Eaker.
Surviving are six sons, Johnny

Earl and David Freeman of
Hampton, Va., Sidney Freeman
