Funeral services for Eben Gabriel MeSwain, 69, of Oxford, former resident of Kings Moun tain, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from Oxford Presbyterian Church by Rev. Norman McDowell. Mr. MeSwain, husband of the former Mary Frances Austelle, died of a heart attack Wednes day night at 7 p.m. A native of Stanley County, MeSwain was reared at Oxford Orphanage following the death of his parents. He attended N.C. State University and was a retired teacher and had taught at Vance-Granville Community College where he was chairman of the Electrical Installation Department. He also taught in the Electrical Department at Ox ford Orphanage for 27 years and at Chapel Hill Senior High School for four years. He was an Elder in Oxford Presbyterian Church and a member and past president of Oxford Rotary Qub. He was a Mason and on the board of trustees of Vance Granville Community College.
