c A TIMOTHY EUGENE PAYNE 2nd Birthday For Timothy Timothy Eugene Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Payne of York, S.C., formerly of Kings Mountain, celebrated his second birthday Thanksgiving Day at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Payne, in Kings Mountain. He had a train cake and ice cream and the family helped him celebrate his birthday. Timothy has one brother, Tracy, age eight. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Mahaffey of Lancaster, S.C. Hugheses Visit Canadys, Barnes Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Hughes have returned from Fayetteville where they spent the Thanksgiv ing holidays with their niece, Mrs. Wilton (Joan Gayle Cadieu) Canady, Mr. Canady and son, Brian. Joining the Canadys and Hughes for a holiday visit were Mrs. Canady’s mother, Mrs. Ruth Cadieu, Mrs. Cwady’s brother, Charles Roy Cadieu and Mrs. Canady’s aunt and un cle, Mr. and Mrs M.L. Gaflhey and Jane of Gaffney, S.C. Enroute home to Kings Mountain, the Hughes stopped in Lumberton for a visit with former residents, Mr. and Mrs. B.N. Barnes. Other Thanksgiv ing weekend guests of the Barnes were Mr. Barnes’ mother, Mrs. Barnes, who is lOS, and Mr. Barnes’ sister, both of Lumber- ton.
