Malcolm Spangler, Bob Van Sleen and George Patterson re counted their experiences and personal reactions of the day when they learned that Pearl Harbor had been attacked on Dec. 7,1941. Entertainment was provided by Miss Donna Easter, Gardner-Webb College student who delighted the group with a ventriloquist show. Door prizes were presented and wives of Radio Club members received Christmas presents. Youth Choirs Are Rehearsing A Community Youth Choir is being organized at the Com munity Center and interested students should call the Center or Mrs. Calvin (Pauline) Wright for more information. Students age 8-11 will rehearse Tuesdays after school (beginning today) for a Christmas program and student sage 12-18 will rehearse Thurs days after school, said Mrs. Wright. Free transportation will be provided from the various schools to the Community Center and to their homes after (he rehearsals, said Mrs. Wright. SCHOOL BOARD ’ The Kings Mountain District Schools Board of Education will hold its December meeting at ■•noon, Dec. 12, at the Ad ministration Building on Parker Street. It will be a luncheon meeting with a brief business ses sion to follow. V- LISA ANN PAIGE ENGAGED — Mr. and Mrs. Loy Arnold Paige of Shelby announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Ann, to Ricky Dean Hall, son of Ms. Nellie Hovis of Kings Mountain and James A. Hall of Bon Aqua, Tennessee. The bride-to-be is a 1974 graduate of Shelby High School and 1978 graduate with B.A. in Education from Wake Forest University. She taught for two years in the Shelby City Schools as a fourth grade teacher and is now a full-time graduate student in guidance and counseling at Winthrop College in Rock Hill, S.C. Miss Paige made her debut at the Shelby junior Charity League Debutante Ball in 1974.
