C. 28086 PHONE 739-5656 ‘In My Father’s House’ Sunday At Bethlehem Young people of Bethlehem Baptist church will present the Christmas play “In My Father’s House” Sunday at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Watch Night Service Set First Wesleyan Church will hold a Christmas Eve Watch Night Service from 11 p.m. until midnight. Sponsored by the Venille Phillips Missionary Society, the service will include a Candlelight worship service and special music. The community is invited to participate in the service. CANTATA The First Wesleyan Church Choir will present the Christmas cantata “Home For Christmas” Sunday at 6 p.m. at the church, located on North Piedmont Avenue. The choir will be under the director of Elizabeth Bolin. SINGING EPPS The singing Epps Family will present a program of special gospel music Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Holiness Christian Mis sion at 215 Blanton St. The public is invited to attend. Crescent Hill Lights to Glow Crescent Hill will glow again this Christmas Eve and Christmas Night with luminaries from approximately 40 homes. The candles will be lighted outside the homes at 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Night and on Christmas Night. Residents will also use candles inside their homes to add to the holiday decoration. Almost all the residents of the Crescent Hill area participate in the decorating project. * Houser Case Bouud Over Phil Houser, of Parkdale Cir cle, waived preliminary hearing in 27-5 Judicial District Court last week in Shelby and his case was bound over to Superior Court by Judge Bowen. Houser is charged with break ing and entering and larceny in connection with a break-in at the Rustic Log Home Company off ice and plant on Grover Road and the theft of $15 and two radios. In other law enforcement ac tivities, George Wiley Sullens of - 1009 N. Piedmont St. was ar rested Friday on two counts of breaking and entering and larceny. According to warrants, the charges are in connection with break-ins at Central School and Haynes Textile Company in Kings Mountain. “In My Father’s House” depicts a 20th Century family’s preparation for the celebration and the amazing things that hap pen when Christmas is transformed inot CHRISTmas. Peter son, Sunday night, December 21, at 7:30 p.m. The choir is directed by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Woodberry. Ac companist is Mrs. Jackie Porter on the piano. It will be narrated by Chuck Hoyle. On December 24, the Children’s Choir will present a musical “Stranger in the Straw” at 7 p.m. This is a story and music written as seen through the eyes of the animals at the stable on the night of Christ’s birth. The director if Nancy Hoyle and her assistant is Wanda Moore. The public is invited to both the cantata and the musical and a nursery will be provided.
