If a citizen smells gas, he should call and keep calling until somebody gets there. “We have an excellent electric system and a top-notch water system and we’re working to get a top-notch gas sytem,” Ollis said. “We’re spending a lot of money and man hours to update our gas system. “Many pieople may ask “what’s in this for the city?’,” Ollis said of the meter reading classes. “K we cut everybody’s usage 15 per cent, we can sell to 15 percent more people without having to pump any extra water or buy ex tra gas.” The meter reading classes will be continued, Ollis said, as long as the citizens demand them. “We’re available almost anytime,” he said. To allow a carrier to drive up to a curbside mailbox to deposit or collect mail without leaving his or her vehicle, rural or curb- side boxes should be kept clear of snow, vehicles or other obstructions.
