Thursday night's Good Earth Garden Club Art Art Auction Tonight PHOTO BY LIB STEWART GARDEN CLUB AUCTION-Mrs. Lou Sabettie, big art ouction to sponsored by Good Earth left, chairman, and Mrs. Jean Thrift show one Garden Club at the new City Hall, of the paintings to be auctioned at tonight's Beautifully-framed Limited Edition prints and original pen and ink sketches will go to the highest bidders at Thursday night’s art auction to be spon sored by Good Earth Garden Club and beginning at 7;30 p.m. at the new City Hall. , The paintings are priced from $50 to $250 and will be on display to the public beginning at [7 p.m. in the lobby of the new jcity Hall. : Mrs. Larry Hamrick, Jr. will isound the gavel signaling the ibeginning of the second annual {auction at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds are earmarked for community projects of the garden club, including a scholar ship to a deserving high school senior. Mrs. Lou Sabettie, Jr .is chair man of the fund-raising commit tee which also includes Mrs. Marlene Bennett, Mrs. Chris Champion, Mrs. Jean Thrift and Mrs. Jackie Seism. The 100 prints will feature children’s prints, country and nautical scenes. New England countryside scenes and many more. Light refreshments will be served by the garden club during the auction. Minor roles are held by Heather Bradshaw as the vegetable merchant; Charlie Jenkins as Red Coat 2; Chip Caldwell as Red Coat 3; Edward Hammett as a British Officer and Debbie Rushing as Mrs. John Sevier. Among the large group of extras are Phillip Fisher Doug Bell, Bill Hager, Laura Johnson. Deia Parker. David Dockery and Victoria Shaw, all of Kings Mountain. Dr. Charles Hannum, head of the Limestone College Theatre Department, is again directing the drama which represents 3,000 man hours of work, he said. The 90 minute production requires 61 period costumes, all of which were handmade last year, and three large stages. Twelve key actors and seven key technicians return to the large cast this season. JC-Police Game Slated Fourth annual Jaycee-Police Softball Game will be played Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at Deal Street Softball Field. Admission is $2.
