Pinning lieutenant bars on him ore Sandy Moore and his father, retired Sgt. Maj. Ira Bumgarner of 806 Hillside Drive, Kings Mountain. Bumgarner, who obtained his bachelor's degree in law enforcement and criminal justice, will report to Ft. McClellan. Ala., for of ficer basic military police troining. Commis sioned in the regular Army, he will receive further assignment in Germany. Dallas...Gaston College will sponsor a Drama/Theatre Seminar on Saturday, June 20. The seminar begins at 10 a.m., with registration at 9:30. There is a registration fee of $10.00 per person which covers the workshop and dinner, however, participants are asked to bring their own sandwich lunch. The seminar will be in thee parts, each covering a main area of theatre and the participants will attend each part on a rota tion basis so that in the course of the day all three areas will be covered. After dinner a short ex cerpt of a play or skit will be presented and after its conclu sion the workshop partici|}ants will be asked to list as many of the mistakes, omissions or incon sistencies as they saw in the skit. Workshop areas will include acting and Erecting, led by Gun- nar Nielsen and Debbie Carpenter, make up, costumes, lighting, led by Mark Hyde and Sheila Nassif, and set design and decoration, led by Stuart Dunsmore. The seminar will begin promp tly at 10 a.m. and will conclude at 8 p.m. The purpose of the workshop, rather than the ob vious, is to create and stimulate in a drama program at Gaston College both in the Academic andAtr Continuing Education Division.
