The splash will be held at 1 p.m. second floor of the new city hall. Super Splash is a statewide fund-raising event. Proceeds will support CF research, care and educational programs throughout the United States. There are two CF centers in North Carolina, one at the Duke University Medical Center and the other at N.C. Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. The Super Splash will be scheduled for three hours. Spon sors will contribute $3.00 ($1.00 for each hour of swimming), col lected in advance. Participants will turn in all sponsor sheets and money at the pool before swimming. The Parks and Recreation Department will present the prizes at Deal Street Pool on Awards Day, July 11, at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the par ticipants with the largest number of paid sponsors. Prizes include an AM/FM Cassette player, first prize; Polaroid One-Step camera, se cond; and all participants who have ten or more sponsors ($30.00) will receive a Super Splash beach towel. Participants who have 25 or more sponsors ($75.00) will receive an AM pocket radio in addition to the beach towel. In case of a tie, the winner will be chosen by a draw ing. To be eligible for prizes, a participant must have collected from a minimum of 10 sponsors.
